Our Business English courses focus on the language and skills you need to become more confident and more effective when you use English in business situations.
We have a specific focus on:
Skills practice:For example, speaking on the telephone, negotiating and reaching agreement,presenting your company, socialising and small talk
Language: vocabulary and grammar presented in a business context
Case Studies:In this part of the course you will take part in various business speaking scenarios such as negotiating a joint venture, preparing an investment plan, branding and marketing a product, selecting a new member of staff, working out a financial solution to a problem. You will work in a team to do the task, and then present your results in a series of mini-presentations.
Reading:Various articles from a variety of sources including the UK Financial Times
Listening: Interviews with various experts, such as a professor of business, a company country manager, a management consultant, a head of a multi-national e-commerce business etc.
On enrolment you will be invited to take our placement test, which will help us assess your level of English and therefore place you in an appropriate class. You will be placed with students of a similar level of ability in order to maximise your learning.
